Gold Rush

Gold Rush, oils on linen 36x48" print is available — Kimberly subliminally painted this piece after reading about Sutters Mill Gold Rush in California 

My pallet was created by using different shades of browns using raw umber, burnt sienna, and shades of golden yellows cad yellow, cad orange. I decided to add real leaf gold just a few strokes to the stream & rocks using my pallet knives.

I was trying to convey a warm falls day with a gentle breeze touching the stream and leaves. A little reflection of light from the sun shining through the yellow & golden foliage.
